Our Firm
Our practice is based on these under-lying principles:
1 Putting the financial interests of our clients first.
This is our guiding principle, borne of many years' experience working in a professional environment.
2 Independent professional standards.
The International Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) lays down standards which help form the framework for developing financial plans for our clients. We employ consistent, independent, high quality standards; you benefit from comprehensive tailored advice, subject to regular reviews. We adhere to the Institute of Financial Planning 'Code of Ethics and Professional Practice'.
3 Professional qualifications.
Certified or Chartered Financial Planners: significantly higher qualifications than the minimum required by the Financial Services Authority.
4 A transparent fee-based approach to charges.
At AWA we distinguish between 1. giving financial advice, and 2. effecting investment or financial transactions.
Having received financial advice from us, clients are under no obligation to effect any transactions.
Our fees take account of the time spent carrying out the work; the complexity of the work; the skills of the person doing it; and our liabilities and regulatory obligations in respect of the work.
